There are some songs that are so amazing that you feel the need to listen to them again and again. They speak to you. You dance around singing them, and you keep returning to the computer to hear that magical combination of notes and lyrics yet again. And again.
On this sunny Friday morning, I will tell you what some of those songs are for me. Because these songs are WINNING.
^my problem with this one is I was obsessed with it when I was in my first trimester with Babby, so now I kind of associate it with nausea, but it’s worth it.
You know what I don’t listen to?
This.
Heee, “Jedi of the sea”
They stop Cthulu eating ye!
That was an awesome line.
The only one of these I know is The Humans Are Dead. The thing with Flight of the Conchords is they keep changing stuff, so I prefer the version I first came across of this, which is a clip of them performing it on an Australian TV show. But the costumes in the TV show are ace.
Their live versions are definitely better – the editors of the show mess up their comic timing sometimes, I think. The live versions have way better timing. However, the live versions are getting harder to find on Youtube as the tv show clips take over.
OMG–I’ve never seen that Charlie Sheen one before, and now I need to watch it over and over. With snacks. Hilarious, catchy and frightening all rolled into one delightful package.
I also couldn’t get those auto-tune songs from movie clips they did on the Oscars out of my head for WEEKS. Now I’m going to have to listen to those after my Charlie Sheen marathon.
Just discovered that last one a couple days ago. Oh my.
Autotune is a wonderful thing, and I think that Winning might be the best thing it has ever resulted in. I keep bugging PH to find me a copy so I can Autotune babby.

thank you for this lovely blog-o-smiles… except for the last video… i had never heard this song, and kind of never did want to … and there it was, staring back up at me, begging to be clicked…. yes i clicked…. for 1:02 and then tore my eyeballs and eardrums out. luckily i was able to have them replaced, but i will forever be dealing with PTSD from that experience.
i feel sooooo sorry for mothers of 13yr old girls right now.
LOL!
