Okay, I want to give updates and I have lots of posts fomenting in my brain, but my back hurts and I can’t sit here.
Massage helped kind of sort of. I can feel that she let out a lot of knots – even if I was slightly bruised in the places where the knots used to be the next day – but one day back at work and my back has seized up again.
One more week til we fly to New York.

The massage therapists at work always warn that a massage can make you sorer the next day. They recommend lots of water, stretching, and Epsom salt baths. I hope you feel better soon.

I was going to tell you just what Amy said. A friend of mine works for Maritime Physio and she says the same thing for care the day after a massage.
Loosening the knots releases all that lactic acid into your bloodstream, which can actually make you feel rather unwell the next day. In addition to Amy’s excellent advice, drink lots of water (I’m sure you’re doing that anyway) to help flush it through your system faster.
