Isn’t the motto of NaNo “No plot, no problem”? I’m sure you’ll think of something, and if you don’t, you can write something really random! There are lots of random plot and character generators out there 🙂
it involves a hippo crossed with a lion (picture Aslan with hippo rage) that consumes the evil scourge of the earth beginning with those who are most annoying to you…
I suppose I could make up something really rambling and nonsensical. I think I need a child in my life, to develop my sense of whimsy. I keep rejecting all my plot ideas as being too irrational.
I’m glad it was good, but hearing this saddens me slightly….because my kids knew when to rumpus and when to listen in wonder and I knew every word so they could look at pictures and I didn’t have to turn the book away…but hey they are older now…maybe they shall enjoy it too 🙂
You are braver than I. The thought of Nanowrimo makes me want to take to my bed and hide. I realise the point is to write and not care, but that is far beyond my capabilities.
Really just wanted to say hi because I suck at commenting lately. Hi.

well than i shall take to you see where the wild things are (which btw is the best children’s book of all time….ever….evaaaaa) to awaken your whimsey…
Uh… you haven’t seen the movie yet, have you?
Love that book. Rushed to the movie. The movie is… awesome.
…but dark. It’s definitely not for kids any more… it left me with a feeling of sadness.

I think they will. It’s… kind of artsy, and sad, but it’s still Where the Wild Things Are.
But younger kids would be like “why are the monsters so sad?”
